Bathroom floor tile colour - pls help!
Comments (36)Hi Kirsty, could you please advise the colour of your vanity and whether it is a custom made one and if not, could you let me know its name and where you bought it. Also, what is the colour of your floors tiles and where did you get them from. (I have come to the conclusion that charcoal/dark grey tile plus a much lighter grey tile plus white on some walls plus a timber vanity or timber accessories in bathroom , plus white (or close to it) below sink counter top is the way to go for a beautiful bathroom. The trick is figuring out exactly what proportion of each colour to use and where to put them for each particular layout....See MoreBathroom shelving
Comments (7)Cipriano bathroom and home design. Thanks for those photo's, I'm thinking about shiplap cladding and shelves in my toilet and photo 4 confirms that contemporary style floating shelves will look great, I was a bit worried that I might have to add Federation style (house is fed). The shelves would be on the opposite wall to loo and I hate seeing rolls of toilet paper but they have to be in reach so thought a simple shelf with sliding doors (finger hole in doors no handles) above the loo would work and also provide a place for a plant on top underneath the window. That tiny room has been causing me so much stress! Oh I have a metre high half Zebra easy peel wall sticker (to keep small grandson interested whilst on the job) on wall opposite loo which is contemporary, another reason I wanted the shelves above it to be a bit modern. I think it will look great now, even adults love the zebra lol. Thanks again I'm totally sorted....See MoreHelp choosing between layouts for master bathroom and walk-in!
Comments (3)without accurate dimensions my suggestion offers twin bathrooms with a central dressing area and biw accessible from the bedroom ...alternatively option 2 could have the storage swopped to the bathroom side to create a small entry hall to separate the wiw from the bathroom and, instead of a wall of glass, panels of horizontal or vertical glass and glass doors could enhance lighting and, based on my guestimated measurements, the twin bathrooms design offers much more than the required 16' of full height storage wall as well as a more comfortably sized dressing area...See MoreUrgently need help with our tiny-bathroom design
Comments (58)For storage, I used a mirrored lift up cupboard door above the sink area in my very small ensuite with some success. We put power points inside the cupboard too - it was a very good place to have them as the door lifts up & is out of the way. I also used some of the wall space to allow slightly deeper shelves, without the cupboard jutting so far into the room. The cistern was recessed into the wall cavity, (in our case below the window) & it worked well to save a little space in the room. Photos are not very good, but I hope you can get the idea.. It worked very well. The ensuite was 1mx2m. We use vertical towel rails. They're really good & very compact, but do make sure the electrician installs them up the right way. They work on the heat rising principal & do not work well upside down as ours were installed!Hope this is helpful. Good luck....See Moredreamer
