How to dress up bed for my apartment / holiday rental?
Comments (3)Good point! While stains are more prominent on neutral sheets, they're timeless, gender neutral and easier to accessorise. And yeah, bedlinen can be bleached. Alternatively you can mix up your own bleaching concoction using - 1/2 a cup of baking soda + your usual detergent + 1/2 white vinegar...See MoreHow important is thread count when buying bed linen?

Comments (16)Xenia, just to be clear, is the builder saying there doesn't need to be a non-combustible material covering the gap between the stone benchtop and the window?? Is that wall made of brick or some other non-combustible material, or is merely plasterboard? If it's plain ole' plasterboard, it is most certainly combustible and can ignite in say, a fat fire. Maybe I'm missing something. Would you please look closely at your plans and clarify? I very much like your table/butcher's block. The one in photo looks like it's higher than a table, so I'm guessing it is at a perfect height for you to work? Yes, that's a lovely, restful colour of glass, and no, I don't think it is overkill. You want to be happy in your own kitchen. Just a thought, but you could choose material with that colour of blue for any chairs or stools you have at the butcher block table. Ties it together....See MoreHelp on where to position outdoor kitchen (and future pool)
Comments (5)Definitely pool at B as closer to house best. Could outdoor kitchen be placed at furthest end of alfresco roofed area, so that the cook can look towards the back garden? I think it works best under-roof, and closer to you indoor kitchen for ease of taking food in and out of house. IF you are sure you will build a studio at same time as pool then perhaps everything at the end of your garden is good idea. Just be sure you incorporate a fridge into your outdoor kitchen. Otherwise, you will get tired of carrying food & drinks so far. Another idea since you will have plumbing there, maybe think about an outdoor shower as well (for after swims)....See Moredreamer
