Looks fine as is.
Lower would look better. (approx 50-100cm lower)

Need help for kitchen pendant lights - do I match dining pendant???
Comments (10)Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea....See MoreHigh wood ceiling
Comments (28)Just to throw another option into the mix – look up Marmoleum for your kitchen floor – it's a modern version of linoleum (not vinyl!). It comes in the most amazing range of colours and looks (about 300 to choose from – from very bright primary colours through all the secondary and tertiary colours, marbled or stripey or plain), has all the green credentials (97% natural components like linseed oil, wood flour, jute etc; nearly 50% recyclable content and 100% biodegradable – it even smells great when it is first laid), extremely hard-wearing, easy to clean and maintain, comes in either sheets, tiles or planks and it is quiet to walk on. It is used in hospitals and schools because of it hygienic characteristics and doesn't give off volatile gases like vinyls. We have put it down in our new kitchen about six months ago and I love it. One of the things I love most is how quiet it is – no clicking, clanking noises as people walk on it. It sweeps clean easily, wipes clean (for spots), mops beautifully every now and then and looks wonderful. Highly recommend it!...See MoreIs this media unit too high? And how to decorate around TV.
Comments (8)In the 3rd picture , we can see the potplants , the artwork and the exterior , and IMO it looks more pleasant than the other 2 pics , which look pretty styled and impersonal . The wall above the second unit ( the dining area ) needs an artwork to balance the TV on the other side , and maybe its just me , but I think the 2 units are a bit light in colour -- in the pictures , they almost look 'fake timber' , a bit lacking in warmth against the offwhite walls , and even against the dining table ( the dining table , even though its lighter , looks better IMO ) . Others may disagree , just my taste . I also don't think the 2 light styles quite gel -- I understand what you were trying to do , but it hasn't quite worked in my eyes . I love the dining table ones , the lounge one is a bit too meh for me ....See MoreStorm water pipes too high?
Comments (5)People can eat the creeping thyme but you’d have to Google for pets. What purpose did you want the gravel topping for? If you need it for drainage you can find ground covers that will grow in fast draining soil like gravel. I like native plants so the Gardening with Angus website has a good plant selector tool....See Morebigreader
