This project has turned a dated, drab, and impractical 1980s home into an abode that will see a young family into the future. While the renovated home is stunning throughout, the new kitchen is the showpiece and was a finalist in the Medium Kitchen category in the 2021 HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards.

The client's initial brief was to have a home that incorporated materials that could withstand heavy use and at the same time create an outstanding look and feel. They also love to entertain and the interiors were chosen carefully to meet the desires of family feeling free and comfortable in their new home.

The old house remained largely as is in terms of floor plan and layout with a dining/living space opening onto the veranda and adjoining the kitchen onto the veranda. The master bedroom also accesses the veranda from the first floor.
The layout of the kitchen and bathroom was reworked. The entire interior of the home was updated accordingly to the client's budget and style. This included changes to all surfaces such as flooring, paint and other wall coverings, window treatments, carpets/rugs etc were replaced.
