Stainless steel benches - worth the $$?? Resale??
Comments (2)Go for it. You will be cross every day if you don't (I didn't want the recon stone stuff in my last kitchen...got pressured into it...hated it EVERY DAY!!). Current one is going to be stainless...absolutely!...See MoreNew Kitchen Sink
Comments (2)I saw some Blanco silgranit versions at their HQ showroom. They look really nice and seem scratch resistance from demonstration trying to scratch the sink with sharp objects. I wanted single bowl top mounted 700mm sink, but couldn't find anything else but stainless in that size and shape. Still happy with my Abey though....See MoreWhite fridge or stainless steel?
Comments (41)Hmm. Folks I don't understand what is going on with these recent comments. The fridge dilemma was settled ages ago and I advised that I had settled on a stainless-steel fridge that worked well in my white kitchen. Just as an update, I had some problems with said fridge, calling for service several times and the fridge having to go back to the factory. Very unsatisfactory and inconvenient. They provided a loan fridge but as everyone knows, emptying and stocking fridges is not the most enjoyable pass time. After some discussions with F & P they were persuaded to replace the dud fridge with another similar fridge, although with the concealed handles. (Not my preference). I had to pay a small amount, but it came with a new fridge warranty. So dear people, I will close this conversation and give thanks to everyone for the input. Kind regards sydneymidge...See Moreany reviews from coloured kitchen sinks
Comments (1)Hi Reta, the oliveri spectra sinks are a stainless steel sink with a coloured coating. Yes they will scratch just the same as stainless steel sinks do. Oliveri do however supply these sinks with bowl protectors as a standard inclusion; which will help limit this wear. I don't know if your are aware that Oliveri also have a black sink range called Santorini which are made in the same way as Reconstituted Stone Benchtops are (like the materials such as Caesarstone is) with the same durable wear properties too. If you are concerned about the patina with stainless scratching over time, then the Santorini range may be an alternative to consider. The Santorini is very Scratch resistant as well as stain resistant, bacterial resistant, heat resistant, impact resistant, and colour stable over time. These are a great alternative to Stainless Steel sinks for those concerned about scratches in stainless over time. Hope this helps, Malcolm...See MoreKate
