Glass splashbacks - yay or nay?
Comments (85)It must depend what you cook. I don't do fried, spitty type dishes and the grout around the largish tiles in my now 10 year old kitchen is as good as new. I rubbed car wax into the freshly laid grout lines, same as I did in the bathroom. It also depends on how much light bounces around your kitchen, glass being so reflective shows up smears with light on it. Just above the kettle in the first photo is a good example. Each to their own, I'm a non-glass girl whenever I can get away with it....See MoreTrim colour to go with Dulux Antique White USA
Comments (2)Do you happen to know what sort of paint has been used on trims? It can sometimes be a very big job to properly prepare them for repainting so the paint sticks. We have found ours wasn't done right in the past and is coming away. Not looking forward to doing it all correctly. I would much prefer to spend the money on beautiful bright artwork! Changing the door colour as big reader suggested sounds like a good first step before deciding to do it all....See MoreDulux Casper white quarter? Vivid White?
Comments (22)We have done all of the downstairs open plan area in Caspar white quarter. Skirts done in same colour in gloss with vivid white ceiling & cornice. We had a4 samples of 4 Dulux whites: Snowy Mountains 1/2, white exchange 1/2, white polar 1/4. Moved the samples to every room with hubby & wrote down which we preferred. Tried them in north and south rooms in day and night light. CW1/4 was hands down the favourite. It looks great - crisp & clean with no blue, we love it. Photos were taken at night. Hope this helps....See More1/2 strength antique white usa ? Or natural white?
Comments (5)I have a worker’s cottage that I painted a couple of bedrooms in the Antique White . I then painted the rest in Natural White as the other was too cream . I found that it was perfect as it is not stark at all but not dull . My home in the country which is built with verandahs and cast iron , I used the Natural . If you are unsure , get a sample pot of each and paint a decent section ....See MoreAlisha E
